Why Biodiversity Collage?
A Biodiversity Collage is a three hour science-based, gamified workshop developed by scientists and academics to empower people to engage with the science behind biodiversity loss in an accessible way.
The workshop enables you to understand the interconnected causes and consequences of biodiversity loss and provides the tools to help your business start to break the ‘inaction cycle’.
There are plenty of workshops and webinars on biodiversity loss, but three things make the Biodiversity Collage unique.
1. It’s scientific
The Biodiversity Collage methodology is based on world-class climate science including the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
The problem with science papers and the Global Biodiversity Framework?
They’re very long and complicated (and dare we say… a bit boring?).
The Biodiversity Collage makes cutting-edge science available to all, enabling you to expand your knowledge within a few hours.
2. It’s accessible
You really don’t have to be an expert to get the most out of a Biodiversity Collage - anyone can join!
No science-y background needed or previous understanding of biodiversity loss required.
The game is cleverly designed to ensure all participants discover the science behind biodiversity loss. All you need is an appetite to learn more.
If you do have an understanding of biodiversity loss, the workshop will help you understand the wider impacts of biodiversity loss and its interconnectivity with other socio-environmental issues.
3. It’s effective
This isn’t a lecture so you can’t just sit and listen (or, realistically, zone out)!
The gamified format of the Biodiversity Collage means it is highly engaging by design. It's much easier to absorb the scientific information.
You will collaborate with fellow participants to complete some simple exercises which, when combined, provide an understanding of the causes and consequences of biodiversity loss.
